No picture yet, but I'm so grateful I squeezed in getting my tomato plants in the garden today. I hadn't planned on doing it, but I had time while I was out this morning to go to the nursery and buy them. Then after supper tonight, I had some time to go hoe up the ground and get them planted. I picked 3 regular tomato plants (Celebrity, Jet Star and Better Boy) and 6 Romas (4 of one kind and 2 of another). Hope someone around here likes tomatoes! And I hope I'm in the mood again this year to make sauce. It didn't turn out so well 2 years ago, but I'd like to try again.
It was so good to get them planted today to get a little head start. I know some others have had theirs planted for a while, but we did have a frost 2 nights this week. The forecast looks good from here on out and Sunday it's Mother's Day...so according to the old adage, I should be safe for sure after that. Last year I waited till after Mother's Day and it just seemed way too late, so I'm glad to get in a little before that this year, even if it's just 4 days! Now it can rain!
