Saturday dawned and the projects got bigger!

Corey and the boys demo-ed Grammy's old couch so it would fit in the dumpster...

We trimmed Mr. Fig (and planted some of the trimmings to start a Mrs. Fig) :-)

And the best part was...

We visited the friendly Home Depot and bought new vertical blinds for Grammy's bedroom...

(This couple worked really well together...They passed the pre-marital blind installation test.) :-)

...and faux wood blinds for the kitchen!

This is one time where your heels might come in handy, Julie! :-)

(Notice Mrs. Fig in the center of the table. She's quite short yet, being just planted and all.)

And this is what the boys did while no one was available to play with them. :-) Tried out Grammy's beautiful new couch and mastered a few levels on their Nintendo DS. :-)

Oh, and we didn't get a picture of me putting up a shelf in the laundry area. Probably because I'm the photographer. I don't want to think of what might've happened to my camera had I tried to take a picture of myself drilling in the wall. Probably worse than what did happen...I dropped a screw down behind the dryer and had to drop Trevin back there, too, so he could pick it up...along with all the other interesting things that have been dropped back there since the dryer was installed. :-) He was a good sport! ...and I didn't drop anything else the rest of the time.
