#100-112

I really wanted to make post #100 special, but now it's just lumped in with 12 others that I missed due to traveling and having company over the holidays. But I can still make this post special.

Christmas weekend saw our house filled with my family and then New Year's weekend we saw hubby's family. I am SO grateful for family. It is just so amazing to be around people you love and admire and yet at the same time you can totally be yourself and express yourself with no fear of condemnation. You're just accepted as who you are...and nothing will ever change the fact that you are family. It's really made me think a lot about how God wants us to be his family and I want to study the parallels that exist between our spiritual family and natural family.

Another very special part of the holidays was our 10th wedding anniversary. Yep, we got married in a snowstorm...in Indiana...and we celebrated our 10th in a snowstorm, too...up in the mountains of Colorado! It was beautiful and so wonderful to just have endless minutes of quiet just perfect for reading a book. It was so nice to be able to read an entire paragraph without interruption! :-)

So here are a few shots from our cabin experience in Divide, CO!

Our wonderful gas fireplace...thank goodness it worked. I don't think the baseboard heat could've kept up with the below zero temps!

Oh, and the hottub was awfully nice, too! You had to endure a little cold to enjoy the blissful warmth, but once I worked up my nerve enough and got out there, it was worth it. :-) Corey was brave more often than I was! As you can see...this picture is taken from outside the hottub, me dressed in my nice warm down jacket.

I mentioned the below zero weather...this is proof! :-) And as you can see, the blue line (inside temp) isn't exactly above 70 either.

Pikes Peak with the winds blowing around the freshly fallen snow. No complaining about the view here! :-)

I would still like to continue my habit of a "grateful a day." So here goes:

#100 As noted above, I am grateful for times spent with family and enjoying what family truly means.
#101 I am grateful for my nephew who plays the violin so wonderfully!
#102 (Xmas day) I am grateful for turkey dinners with all the fixin's!
#103 I am grateful for family ties that go beyond natural things and that I can enjoy spiritual fellowship with my natural family.
#104 I am grateful for hugs and tears which help us express in part the feelings we have for others...especially when saying goodbye.
#105 I am grateful for the owner of my Jazzercise location. I have been a part of her team to provide childcare for the moms that attend and for that I get free Jazzercise! Now I need to get back to going again! :-)
#106 I am grateful that we only live a day's drive from CO and that we have a comfortable van to drive in to get there!
#107 Our anniversary...I am grateful for the man I married. He is all I need and loves me unconditionally. I love you, Corey!
#108 I am grateful for all-wheel drive vehicles, without which we might not have had such a successful stay in the mountains.
#109 I am grateful for IBC rootbeer, Junior Mints, and Nestle Crunch bars.
#110 I am grateful for my mother-in-law who loves our boys and took care of them so wonderfully while we were in the mountains.
#111 I am grateful that my boys have really learned to travel well on that 9-hour trip to CO!
#112 I am grateful that my boys have friends to have playdates with on the last day of Xmas vacation! :-)

See you tomorrow! I think I'm going to be grateful that school has started up again! :-)
