I am so grateful to have all our basic needs met. Today I took a donation to our local Rescue Mission and couldn't help but think of those who might benefit from what I donated...either directly using the items or benefiting from the funds raised by selling them to the public. Even as I have been going through our belongings and getting rid of old, worn out things, I can't help but think, there's probably someone out there who would be grateful to have even this. So in this hard economic time, I have learned to appreciate more what we have and how quickly we could lose it all.

So do I have anything that is truly lasting after all my material goods are taken away?
