I am grateful today for a husband and 2 sons who helped me tremendously in getting the house picked up and ready for the week and company Monday night. Have been filling up the trash in the process and it feels good to whittle things down to what we really need and really use.

I'm so grateful today that I had good conditions and a cooperative subject to photograph today...a Painted Lady butterfly! I've been waiting for this chance for a long time. She's been around before but extremely flighty. And today she kept coming back and letting me get up close!

I am grateful for a game of putt-putt with ma boys! L is really improving and it was just plain fun!

T's ball went in the water...again! :-) Good thing they float!

And this is how things went on the hay bales...T jumping off and L acting irritated at the hay in his clothes! He asked for a shower when we got home. Personality oozing out of the seams. :-)

I'm grateful to teach my little guy how to gather Marigold seeds today! He caught on very quickly! :-)

I found myself doing a duplicate post tonight...for friends that mean a lot! I'm doubly grateful for them, I guess. :-)

So on to something new...and I didn't take a single picture today....

I am grateful for my husband who works hard at his job to provide for us and make it possible that all our needs are met. Thank you, dear! I love you!

This is an old picture, but shows the gear Corey has to wear sometimes out in the field, working on trains. :-) The boys love it!

I am grateful for this little birdie who, though he probably flew into the window and was in a state of shock, made us stop for a minute and appreciate nature up close.

I'm grateful for my flower photography class today at an Arboretum. It was beautiful and inspiring!

I am grateful for other devoted parents of my boy's classmates who put on a great Halloween party! It was fun!

I am grateful to be able to do Jazzercise...a cardio and strength training program. Lately I haven't been able to go as much as usual and I can tell! So glad when I get to.

I am grateful for a lovely historic village/gardens in our town that is a fun place to take pictures. I've taken the boys' pics here before, so today when I drove through to see how the leaves were turning, T actually asked me to take their picture! Mommy just happened to have her camera with her...just by chance! :-) ha!

I am grateful for a lovely afternoon in the Flint Hills! One of the most beautiful things about Kansas that I didn't know about until we moved here! (Sorry, couldn't post just ONE picture!)

Loved this bridge! The sign said "no bouncing." Right!

Saw a Black Swallowtail butterfly flitting around...Even caught it with my camera!

I am grateful that our local dairy is making a go of it...they hosted an awesome Fall Festival today and our family had such a great time! I am grateful that my boys get to learn about farm life because that was one thing I loved growing up. I wasn't raised on a farm, but I WAS raised in the country and we had friends and family who had farms and I loved being on them.
